As the book suggests, there is no way to avoid this conflict but rather you need to decide whether you will fight through it or put out a white flag and surrender to your lies.

One of the greatest aspects of this title is that it takes a whole other approach on the three enemies that Jesus Christ taught his principles about.

One of the greatest points is that each of the 50 devotions is written by Lysa. You can feel that it is something coming from her heart, and the passion is palpable.

The devotionals are short yet packed with wisdom. We weren’t able to read one at a time but followed one after another and took a bunch of notes. I feel like I’m rewriting the book since I have so many notes.

Each devotional and practice is unique and written on such a personal level and with such depth of knowledge and experience that it elevates themes to new heights.

After reading it a few times, we can say that it is a great choice for any person who is currently hurting and needs words of encouragement.

The fact that Lysa gets straight to the point and writes as she understands every problem you might have, makes it such an enlightening book.

Yes, the hardcover book could be sturdier, but for the given price, and considering the featured content, it is a worthy title.

Shelia braids a rope of hope with great care. She focuses more on God’s love for her than on her melancholy, and she does it in a way that allows the reader to perceive those flashes of hope.

God is the proper aid, but how can He be that help when he appears so far away and silent? It is something that the writer tackles with a sensitive yet practical approach.

Shelia talks about it a lot in the book, in ways I didn’t understand or think about. She brought new light on lonely, desperate times like the last few hours that Jesus spent on the cross.

Sheila understands how to get right to the point and make the reader feel as though she’s speaking directly to them. Her dependence on God above all else is inspiring and just what we all need to hear.

In other words, it’s for everyone who seems to be losing their hope and wants to let go of everything.

Keep in mind that Sheila does repeat some of the devotions from her previous books. Still, reminding yourself of the earlier realizations is mostly a good thing.

In addition to that, we love that it focuses on the practical application of Scripture to everyday occurrences and present situations in our life. With reflection questions in each chapter, it is an engaging book that we could read for hours at a time.

Reading through the miracles that Max has witnessed offers a whole other approach to the Christian faith. Similar to the titles mentioned above, we consider it a classic for all of you who are feeling abandoned and need words of encouragement.

The highlighting point is that Max presents and focuses on God’s work that may not be as obvious from time to time, considering the state of affairs that we are living in.

Our issue? The fact that the questions for reflection make up for more than 72 pages, which is a bit too much. Apart from that, it is a title worth every penny.
