You might find yourself talking to Jesus more often; after all, he is a friend closer than a brother and the Saviour of your soul.

But you should also call out to the Holy Spirit, who empowers you to do the tasks that God has called on you to do.

Having a good sense of who you are speaking with will help you converse properly and say the things you want to say.

Ask for the Will of God in Your Life

In the Garden of Gethsemane, hours before Jesus was crucified, he would once again pray, ‘Not my will, but yours be done.’

However, we often hesitate to come to God for the little things in life that we need because we think that he should not be bothered.

Then, when more serious problems come, we try everything in our power to solve the problem before we even consider praying.

The Bible says that ‘You do not have because you do not ask God.’

So, you should never think twice before coming to God and asking for what you need. He delights in giving his followers good gifts.

Pray With Another

When we pray in Jesus’ name, there is power in agreement. When you have an urgent need that you need to present to God, you should call upon a friend to pray with you.

Ask for Forgiveness

In James 5:16, we are reminded that if we wish for our prayers to be heard, our hearts need to be right with one another and with God.
